In gaming SLI and CF setups, single GPU solutions are becoming less popular. One GPU is generally the preferred choice.

The recommendation for a single GPU comes down to performance and compatibility. Modern games often run efficiently on one GPU, especially with optimized settings, making multi-GPU configurations unnecessary. However, some builds may struggle with specific titles, which is why testing with different hardware is important. The video you watched likely showed performance drops under heavy load, highlighting that while multi-GPU setups can help, they aren't always the best choice for gaming.

Maintaining both GPUs in harmony while sending fresh frames to your screen is challenging, and you frequently end up using both at a lower capacity because of the extra load. Most other operations that benefit from multiple GPUs don<|pad|>, don’t need this kind of coordination.
