Hello, Over the last week I've experienced a specific problem with my PC. After powering it back on from shutdown while launching a game, the frame rate drops to around 20fps. So far, the only solution has been rebooting the machine—restarting after shutdown doesn't help. Since installing the new Ryzen 7 7800X3D, things have become quite challenging. I've listed all my components here because I'm unsure where the problem lies. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8 Core AM5 4.2GHz
Processor Board: MSI MPG B650 Carbon WiFi
RAM: Kingston 32GB (2x16GB) KF560C36BBEK2-32 6000MT/s DIMM DDR5
GPU: MSI Suprim 3090 Ti
OS: Windows 11 (upgraded from Ryzen 5 5600X)
BIOS: Latest version (version 7D74v164 as of writing)
I enabled PBO in BIOS, set RAM to EXO Profile 1, disabled TPM, and turned off secure boot. All drives are current via Adrenalin software.
Windows reset was performed, removing all drivers. I'm struggling and hope this post will bring some help. Cheers.
It might help to reset the chipset drivers, or even switch Windows completely. This seems like a confusing problem.
