You want to configure the default display settings for all Windows columns—Type, date, size, and path—in detail mode. However, the system is resisting changes and applying unexpected layouts. Based on your description, it seems the settings are being overridden randomly or not updating properly. Since you're using Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, you may need to adjust advanced settings through Group Policy or the Windows Configuration Editor. If you need step-by-step guidance, let me know!

i believe thats a normal function of windows that automatically selects how the folder is displayed by checking what file types are in it. Be it music or pictures or other folders etc.... whether or not it does it correctly is definitely up for debate. but as far as i know there no way to force a default way to view every folder as each folder retains it's own individual settings.

That's not wise.
