Super black screen display with full cooling during high demand.
Thanks!
I've got a 2080 Super that I've owned since the beginning, and I think it's no longer working. I wanted to find out if anyone has more information or solutions. It's a Gigabyte Windforce card. Until recently, it operated perfectly until it began acting strangely. When I power on the PC and run a game or stress test (usually Kombustor), it works for about two minutes. Then the screen goes black, the GPU fans blast at full speed, the PC freezes completely, and the caps lock stays stuck. This card hasn't been pushed through extreme workloads or mined, just used for occasional games. I've swapped out the thermal pads and paste, and temperatures are normal now (around 67°C). Anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to prevent it from becoming e-waste.
Thanks!
I tested two computers—one that usually fails before death and my primary rig running a 3090Ti with a solid configuration. It seems the GPU might be the issue, and the same happened on another machine. One has a 750W power supply while the other uses a 1200W one.
