Summary of the Wild Hunt performance Conclusion on the Wild Hunt act
I'm still figuring this out, and that's why I wrote this message after going through numerous reviews and posts. It seems the current version isn't fully optimized yet. Please, check my understanding—my opinion matters to me. Just like ACU and Far Cry (let's skip the watchdogs for now), these titles (based on what I see on YouTube) have a similar visual quality. They both feature impressive hair effects. ACU is a bit lower due to frequent frame drops, but it's not too bad. I usually manage 50-70 FPS with everything set to maximum except AA on FXAA at 1920x1200 and Far Cry 4. With 2x MSAA and a GTX 780, I get 45-70 FPS. It drains all my 3GB VRAM. I believe the issue is that our current hardware isn't up to the task yet.
Also, I'm not an official fan of Ubisoft, but it seems modern open-world games are quite demanding. But let's compare Metro Last Light (especially Redux)—it looks great, has similar hair effects, runs smoothly, and offers high FPS. It performs better with fewer frame drops and more optimized settings.
So, if I want to play it at full settings without AA at 1920x1200 or 1080, how much VRAM would be needed? I'm really hoping this game becomes available soon. Thanks a lot!

You might be right about needing powerful hardware to play this game on Ultra. While optimization is lacking, I can run GTA V smoothly at 1440p with stable 60fps. The game doesn’t look great even at those settings without better specs. For Witcher 3, setting everything to Ultra usually drops me to around 45-50 FPS. At a minimum, 3GB of VRAM should work for 1080p or 1200p.
Sure thing! I've installed GTA V yesterday but haven't started playing yet because I'm too busy. I've adjusted the settings, but I'm stuck with 3 GB (damn). Turning off MSAA and reflection MSAA is challenging—does that number really reflect the game's performance? I believe my hardware can handle max settings on this game and still maintain a solid FPS, especially without reflection AA. Yes, I can set everything to maximum except for AA. Thanks and take care!
