suggestion for UPS
suggestion for UPS
I was just sharing what I personally experienced, not everything. I've always used these power supplies on systems that could manage the wattage requirements. There are many here who prefer certain products and brands because of their own experiences.
Why bother with a forum when you can talk about your own situation?
I will confirm with you before sharing so you can assist in verifying my perspective together, as your input matters a great deal to me.
hey I'd like another suggestion if you could.
I've looked for a better PSU and this looks like one of the models you suggested

am I correct?
also, should I invest in a better PSU first or a good UPS? cant do both immediately.
How long have you been using them? My 750W green label is nearing eight years, and I doubt it will last much longer. :/
Considering its age and the graphics card it runs with, I believe it’s reasonable to think about upgrading to a better quality, newer unit. What I’m saying is, I’ve had at least two active green-label CX series PSUs working well for years, which I’ve shared with contacts. One was a CX430 bought in April 2016, powering a first-gen Ryzen and a GTX 960 without any problems. A friend still has this setup running the same configuration, and we were talking about upgrading to Ryzen 3 models today. I’m planning to buy an SF750 when prices stabilize.
I want to emphasize that investing in quality isn’t a bad idea at all. I also don’t tend to overlook practical, affordable options that make sense financially. There are far more "green label" Corsair power supplies available than just the premium ones based on cost alone. Many PC enthusiasts are unaware of what truly makes a power supply reliable and worth the investment. This lack of awareness likely leads to more complaints about failures. Let’s not forget the numerous "silver box" power supply designs that perform poorly compared to what we’re discussing.
RMx is a solid power supply with a good 10-year warranty. Given your electricity grid problems, a UPS would be the better option. Even though using RMx might still lead to power cuts, the risk of power loss is significant enough to potentially damage your OS or even the PSU itself. However, RMx is of such high quality that it shouldn't affect other components, at least according to what I've heard.
So, consider getting a UPS first. With your current load around 450W, your 750W CXm should work until you upgrade to a better PSU.
I’m not entirely clear on your shifting perspective regarding this topic. You seem to be criticizing my suggestion that the PSU is safe, thinking it might damage his rig and home, but then it becomes acceptable later. Could you keep things consistent? Maybe think about how people with different opinions and backgrounds might have valid points instead of assuming wrong information?
