I just acquired a Corsair h100i v2 CPU cooler and am eager to push it to its limits. I previously boosted it to 3.8GHz using the stock cooler but then returned it to normal after a day. I’m thinking about installing the radiator/fans on top of my Phanteks P400 case—1 rear fan and 2 front fans. What starting point should I use for frequency and voltage adjustments? My current setup includes: GTX 1060 Founders Edition, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000Mhz C16, 250GB 970 EVO (NVMe M.2), MSI X370 Gaming Pro, plus the listed fans.

AMD suggested limits are 1.425v and 75c. For extended use, typical values are around 1.4v or lower, with 70c or less recommended. Building blocks? Just default settings and gradual checks for stability.

CountMike provided recommended limits of 1.425v and 75c. For extended high-performance use, typical standards suggest 1.4v or lower and 70c or less. The building blocks were set using default values, checking stability step by step. So any frequency achievable below 1.425v is acceptable.

But also keep an eye on the temperature simultaneously. Whichever arrives first. That Corsair should be capable of controlling it at that voltage.

Reference mines @3.9 and @1.35v work well with a MasterLiquid ML240L RGB. It runs at 25c when idle and reaches approximately 55 during full load.
