It might work better because VSync may introduce input lag. When discussing simply capping frames per second at 144Hz or exceeding it, the impact on responsiveness would disappear. In fact, going beyond 144Hz might lead to screen tearing.

Keep GSync active. Running the game at 144Hz won’t make it faster.
