I consistently experience no lag due to my relatively new (less than a year old) Lenovo Ideapad 520 gaming laptop with an Intel Core i7 8th gen processor. However, recently, after using the laptop for several hours and initiating or restarting games, I encounter significant lag. I play single-player titles such as Witcher 3 and Assassin’s Creed. Altering graphics settings and restarting the laptop do not resolve the issue, which persists for anywhere from a few hours to a day. This behavior is increasingly problematic. I require assistance in resolving this matter. Leanethedolphin – Steam add.

Initial consideration is a thermal issue. Report CPU and GPU temperatures during gameplay.

Hello everyone, I identified the issue. Restarting the game with a sufficiently charged laptop resolved the problem. When launching games with an unplugged laptop, the game experiences lag and must be closed, then plugged in before resuming. Therefore, ensure the PC is connected to power before initiating games. This straightforward solution addresses the problem. Thank you for your assistance; hopefully, this information proves helpful to others.
