So I bought a game a while ago and installed it on Steam, all legit so far.
My goal is to take that games folder, copy-pasta it onto a usb-drive and then be able to start that game on a different computer via the drive.
Admin Privileges are obtainable though I would rather prefer not to do that.
I am aware that some games are runnable without the client though this is not one of them.
Installing Steam won't work. I'm sure there's a way around it and I could install Steam on the second computer though my biggest concern is rather logging in with my Steam credentials since its a public device. So no thank you.
There's no need for flaming comments about the necessity or reasoning of running the game on a different computer ,like cmon this is a gaming forum section what did you expect?

Beyond simply playing the game, there’s no further action possible. GOG games, upon purchase, are free of digital rights management (DRM), allowing you to operate them wherever desired without needing an online account.

Failure to access the system is likely your primary challenge. Steam must confirm you possess the necessary permissions and legitimate ownership for each game. A standalone Steam application? Possibly. Mist – an open-source, compact and efficient Steam client – exists at jzhang.net. Mist “A free, portable and lightweight Steam client designed to enhance your overall Steam usage.” (Its effectiveness is uncertain; it’s simply a discovery I made).

I’ll investigate that, it’s certainly the most significant challenge – yet solutions are always available.

That’s precisely what I was referring to in my previous remarks. I won’t add a symbol at the conclusion (sorry about that oversight?) although it’s important to note that I’m operating under a guest/partially anonymous account (anonymous, as I am obviously present).

Don't be concerned; I’m not utilizing government computers. (The reason I dislike this particular inquiry is because it typically leads 9 out of 10 times to a shift in conversation and a discussion about unrelated topics, so please refocus on the original question, thank you.)

The website appears highly questionable, and there aren't any YouTube videos available. Any potential readers should exercise caution and refrain from sharing their information unless absolutely certain of its validity.

If it’s not your equipment and system, how can you be sure the proprietor/administrator isn’t recording every keystroke?

Purchasing video games appears to offer increasingly beneficial outcomes compared to piracy.

It’s possible to transfer a video game onto a portable storage device, however, simply duplicating it won't guarantee proper operation; whether it requires the Steam platform will depend on the individual title. Any solutions involve illicit methods like cracking, which essentially transforms this into an act of copyright infringement and raises questions about obtaining someone else's data for personal gain.

It’s truly astonishing how much false information and fabricated details circulate currently!

Once you purchase the game, it becomes your property!

Instructing Steam to “install” (let's call it relocating) the game files to a different location is functionally identical to manually copying and pasting that folder onto the desired destination; one is done through manual intervention, the other is automated and pre-programmed.

If this were actually the case, we’d be facing a global piracy crisis online…

//close Please close this thread as it will only generate irrelevant comments and unproductive discussions after the first uninformed person misinterprets the clear statement...

Even when cautioned, they still respond with "BUT STILL..."
