Hello, I recently assembled a computer setup approximately two months ago with these specifications:
Processor: Intel Core i7 8700K (overclocked to 4.8GHz, utilizing all cores)
Memory: 8GB x2, CL16 timing, 3000MHz speed
Graphics Card: MSI Nvidia RTX 2060 Gaming Z
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (version 1903, build 18362.267) – fully activated.

I’m experiencing performance issues that are below what I anticipated from this configuration. While playing older games such as Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, the frame rate frequently dips to as low as 30 or even less. Additionally, there are instances of inconsistent frame rates that create a frustrating gaming experience. For these aged titles, I was aiming for a consistent 60 frames per second at maximum settings with a resolution of 1080p.

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations to enhance the system’s performance. Or perhaps my expectations are simply too high given the hardware?

Visit userbenchmark and perform a test. Provide a link with the findings here, and I will assess if there are any performance deficiencies.

What is your CPU/GPU temperature when under heavy use?

A driver problem might be the cause. I recommend completely removing the existing drivers using the DDU tool in safe mode, followed by downloading the latest NVIDIA drivers from https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/dis...nload.html

Hello, thank you for your response. The temperatures continue to stay comfortably below acceptable levels. Maximum CPU temperatures are consistently between 75°C and 78°C during gaming sessions, with the GPU reaching a peak of approximately 70°C. Furthermore, I performed multiple clean installations of the graphics drivers using DDU, but this did not significantly improve the situation.

Here is
the outcome of UserBenchmark
