I created an Instagram account years ago when they didn’t verify emails properly. The email was sent to [email protected], but the issue is the domain format. Instagram support hasn’t helped and hasn’t replied to my messages months later. I’m unsure if there’s a way to fix this or any workarounds. Thanks for your help!

Can you access the login page on Instagram’s left panel? Did you press the "more" button and submit the issue there? The support link provided points to a FAQ page. It might require creating a new account if needed.

If you can't get back into the email or phone number you used for Instagram, you'll have to log in to Instagram and update your profile with a different email address that you can reach. This step is important so you stay connected and prevents others from using your old credentials. Note: Before proceeding, confirm you can still access Instagram via email, phone, or Facebook login. If you can't log in and reach your profile settings, you won't be able to move forward. The only way to create a new account is to register with a different email.

In short, it seems unlikely. Using a hacker might not help much, and accessing the inbox of a .co domain isn't straightforward.

I won't discuss your initial query. I believe there must be a guideline for it. 2. If the email account was via an AOL provider, you should reach out to them. But I question whether that would be useful.
