Recently I've been enjoying Assassins Creed: Rogue and Watch Dogs, both excellent titles, yet occasional frame rate drops can ruin the experience. This might be due to various factors. I have good cooling, a powerful graphics card, and a strong CPU. There appears to be more frame splitting in Assassins Creed compared to Watch Dogs. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hardware specs: CPU - i7-4790k, GPU - MSI GTX 970 Gaming Edition, RAM - 16GB Ballistics HDD, 2TB WD Black Mobo, ASUS Z97-AR cooler, PSU - 750W EVGA 80+ Gold.

I thought that might be the issue, but I haven’t experienced similar problems with other AC games. I was just really concerned since it didn’t happen before.

Confirmed, steer clear of any Nvidia Gameworks titles. They appear to be non-functional at the moment.

Yeah, Watch Dogs is widely regarded as a poorly made title. It performs poorly across most platforms, especially when run at high resolutions. While it can run smoothly at 1080p, it stutters significantly at 1440p. The game has many unresolved issues, and Unity faced numerous problems during its porting process.

I haven't played those exact games, but I've seen that disabling FXAA and VSync can make a difference, especially fixing stuttering in Ghosts and Advanced Warfare.
