I've explored many free visual novels but aimed for some exceptional Japanese ones. Where can I find them? Update: I lean toward action/horror, though other genres are decent too. I enjoy stories and romance sometimes.

They’re visual novels, not light novels. These are interactive stories with text and images. While many focus on dating sims, others cover mysteries, action, and horror themes. Most definitely include waifus in them.
