I'm planning to assemble a PC for my friend soon. I'm a bit unsure if I should purchase Windows 10. The video at 3:34 explains that you can simply download the installer onto a USB drive and boot from it. It seems the installation process doesn't require entering a product key, except possibly for removing the watermark to activate.

You can download the installer at no cost, though it includes a watermark and lacks certain customizations. Get the activation key from Microsoft to use it.

If the watermark isn’t an issue, you can skip purchasing it. When prompted for a product key, just tap the "I don't have a product key" or similar option.

Yes, there are screen savers available. You might also want to check the power settings if you recall them.

It appears the drive shows 8GB while the properties list 7.25GB. You can still use it for installation, but verify the size before proceeding to ensure compatibility.

yep that will be fine. Its a 8gb usb stick that is also 7.25gib. There different units, but windows reports it wrong.
