Stuck in bsod cycle
I've encountered problems with this pre-built since the pandemic started—I'm aware it's a separate matter, but that's just background info. I swapped out the PSU, RAM, and NVMe drives (they all failed at once), and kept the same Moba model. It worked until recently. Then I kept running into resets when launching games after a CPU spike. I've had Windows 10 corrupted multiple times on this setup, so I decided to reset the whole system. But it crashed during the reset and now I'm stuck in automatic repair mode. I'm really confused.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I've experienced Win 10 issues multiple times on this machine, so I chose to reset it. It's recommended to reinstall the OS after creating a bootable USB installer to avoid problems with an incorrect installation. Remove all drives except the one you plan to install the OS onto. Set up the OS in offline mode. Install all necessary drivers, including the latest versions, using the elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator—while keeping the system offline. How is your processor being cooled? What is the model of your case?
I value your feedback. I had performed this before and therefore became complacent, missing that stage. Hope it didn't cause any issues.
The CPU cooler is the Ek-Quantum Velocity², and the GPU also benefits from its cooling.
Moba bios version E7D31IMS.1L0 was installed on 4/11/25; I wasn't certain whether to upgrade to the beta release.
The case used a Cooler Master C700M cooler.
