Struggling to restore Windows 10?
Hi everyone, a few days back I planned to perform a clean Windows 10 reinstall. After wiping the HDD, when I accessed the partition managing part of the installer it displayed this error: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu." I attempted to change the SATA mode in BIOS from AHCI to IDE and vice versa, but it didn’t help. There aren’t many other BIOS settings that could assist me. Have anyone experienced a similar issue? Do you have any suggestions about what might be wrong with my PC? I’m running out of ideas and finding it hard to find useful information online.
Perfect stands against quality. If your machine runs smoothly, avoid attempting a full system reset (which usually works 99% of the time). However, if you enjoy tinkering—well, now you have more projects to tackle, which is ideal. By the way, it's a debate about UEFI versus legacy systems.
