I can't reach Microsoft Security Essentials in any form. It blocks viewing its contents and prevents me from accessing its files. I'm quitting it since it marks all downloaded items as malicious. Help needed!

All content is included, such as images and memes. Only links from the web are highlighted. Files can be moved locally without issues.

You might have malicious software that adds unwanted content to everything you download. I recommend running a malware scan using Malwarebytes, followed by Avast for extra assurance.

Starting with the right software is essential. Downloading Malwarebytes and running a scan can help, but if your system is affected, consider using it on a different machine. Transfer the file to a USB drive and install it on your original PC.
