Using an i7 4770k with a 3.5 ghz turbo boost to 3.9 ghz is what I did. I’m just starting out with overclocking. I turned off turbo boost and adjusted the settings as follows: CPU ratio set to 42, ring ratio auto at 3.9, DRAM at 1600 MHz, VCCIN at 2.0V, CPU core voltage at 1.25V, and DRAM voltage at 1.5V. Moving the CPU ratio to 43 caused a blue screen. I’m not sure if I’m doing it right, but temperatures seem okay since stress tests at 4.2 ghz only reach around 60°C. Other users with this model are hitting at least 4.6ghz, and I’m trying to reach 4.5.

Some 4770K models won't reach 4.5GHz. Consider using a 1.300 CPU core voltage. Avoid exceeding 1.300v when running in air mode.
