Hey, I'm experiencing strong FPS drops when jumping off the bus in Fortnite. My hardware seems fine during gameplay, but everything runs smoothly except my hard drive, which is very full. A friend suggested it might be related to the hard drive since there are no drops and the game loads faster on a M.2 SSD. He mentioned that maps, characters, etc., load quicker on a M.2 SSD compared to a regular one. Is that accurate? And will these FPS drops continue?

PC: i7 8700k 4.8Ghz
RTX 2070 Asus
16gb DDR4 3000mhz
MSI Gaming pro Carbon

SSDs generally don't affect in-game speed. After the game or map is loaded, storage issues become irrelevant. Minor delays might occur if additional content needs to be fetched, but performance won't drop significantly.

But why are you receiving drops from 250 to 30 fps?

The performance change is precise, maintaining a consistent frame rate without fluctuations.

Hello, regarding the FPS drops, my processor (i7 8700k 4.8ghz) operates at 30% usage between 50-60 degrees, while my GPU RTX 2070 Asus works at 40-50% utilization in the same temperature range of 45-50 degrees. My 16GB RAM is completely utilized, yet in-game FPS drops to 250 to 30 frames per second. What might be causing this?
