Hi, sorry if this has been discussed before, but I wasn’t sure about similar ideas. I have a 4K 21-inch iMac from work and a gaming PC, but no monitor to connect. I’m considering using the iMac as a display for my PC, though this model doesn’t support target display. I’m thinking about streaming via Parsec or something similar from my PC to the Mac. Would connecting them through native Ethernet ports work? And if it does, would it be preferable to stream over LAN directly via the router instead? Thanks in advance!

For steam titles you might enjoy, consider streaming at home. However, I wouldn't set up another cable connection. Edit: Alternatively, use a USB capture tool and view your game there. Or simply connect to a monitor.

It would function properly if you set IP addresses yourself, though linking both to the router isn't recommended.
