I just set up a new gaming system with an Elgato - Game Capture 4K60 Pro MK.2 and wonder if I really need it or if the software linking Windows 10 to my Xbox Series X is enough. I can stream my Xbox to my PC, but can I then use that feed for OBS or similar platforms? Or do I still need a capture card for Twitch or similar services?

If I'm interpreting this correctly, are you inquiring about transferring the Xbox video to your PC and then using OBS to record it? While yes, streaming a console over Ethernet can introduce minor delays, and the quality of the feed from the Xbox might not be optimal. This means you'd need to re-encode the stream. Ultimately, try it yourself to determine what works best for you.

I was just wondering if it would actually work. As I mentioned, I have the capture card and the HDMI cables ready, so even without a direct HDMI link, I might be able to proceed this way.
