I have a concern about upgrading my computer for streaming. I stream from my Xbox X via an Elgato, achieving good upload and download speeds through OBS. However, at high bitrates, the stream experiences lag. My system specs include a Radeon RX 580 GPU, a Ryzen 5 1400 CPU, 16 GB of Corsair 3200 MHz RAM, and it was originally built by Best Buy as a powerful machine. I’m wondering if my CPU needs an upgrade to eliminate lag during high-quality streaming. I plan to replace it with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3rd gen if necessary. I don’t stream games directly on the computer; instead, I use OBS and capture Xbox gameplay through Elgato.

It assists in lowering the intercore latency on the CPU side (yes, Ryzen appreciate fast RAM), and it's good to try to read this and possibly watch that.

What type of motherboard do you have? Have you enabled the XMP profile in the BIOS settings?

It’s a bazooka b350m, and does xmp profile play a big role in streaming? Yes, it does, since I use an elgato to capture my Xbox gameplay while streaming on the computer.
