Nvidias Gamestream leads, followed by Steam and then Limelight. On Ethernet streaming with Nvidias in home setup, both should function perfectly, though Limelight remains somewhat challenging. Your laptop's capability to decode the video might be a constraint.

I've tested Steam In-Home Streaming. I set up two computers and a router side by side on my desk—one for gaming, the other for office tasks. I streamed from the gaming machine to the office one, and it worked almost smoothly, with only minor issues. If the office unit had a widescreen monitor, everything would be ideal. If these Android devices don't perform well enough to handle streaming from my AMD rig, I'm planning to invest around $250 in a dedicated office build for my bedroom so I can stream there, and play games upstairs without disturbing the people below.
