To help you connect your laptop to the TV box, check the following settings: ensure both devices are on the same network, verify the correct IP addresses and DNS settings, confirm streaming protocols are supported (like RTP or RTSP), and adjust any firewall rules that might block traffic. If needed, update drivers for your laptop and test the connection manually.

The separation ensures proper network organization and prevents conflicts between the two segments.

It might seem odd, but I can't really take out the second router. There are several reasons for this, such as our Ethernet cable being too short for my laptop and my other brother not being able to reach the main router's Wi-Fi due to distance. I understand this isn't the ideal fix, but we have no choice right now because of other issues. We'll just have to live with it. Are there any alternatives to remove the second router? For example, using port forwarding or something similar?

Adjust the second router's settings to function as a switch or AP instead of a router. Check if it supports a specific mode for that role. Turn off DHCP and connect all devices via LAN ports, keeping the WAN port unused.

Thanks for the update. The TV box now recognizes your laptop, but selecting it returns errors like "search result is empty" and "access fail." It seems you might need to post this on another subforum for help.
