I completely support this. I was demoted twice last week due to playing with throwers, jumping from GNM to GN3 in one match, then moving down to GN2 in another game because communication was minimal and I hadn't played in about a week. Here are some tips for you: study the callouts, practice with bots to understand smoke patterns, identify safe spots, focus on deathmatches, and try solo queue as much as possible. The last one is a bit unusual, but keep an eye on CS:GO pros—watch their gameplay and adopt their strategies like smoke spots and positioning.

My suggestion is to stop relying on matchmaking and focus on building your fundamentals. A personal insight is to join arena servers—1v1 matches—and top spots usually attract skilled competitors. As you learn how to challenge the best, your performance will significantly improve. Many people criticize me when I mention gold and silver players who lack basic skills, but they often neglect training those basics. The key groups are: players who master fundamentals but haven’t reached high levels, those with natural talent but poor execution, and those who outthink others. LEM is the stage where consistent improvement becomes visible, while LEM+ includes players needing more practice or coaching to adjust their style for advancement.

It was exactly like that for me. I moved from Silver Elite to GNM after 23 wins, but then I started clashing with the worst teammates and got demoted to GN3. After winning a couple more games back to GNM, I lost two in a row and fell back to GN3 again. The situation is affecting my mood, and I’m feeling the pressure. On the positive side, I’m on a hot streak of six wins in a row, which gives me hope I might regain my GNM rank soon—if I can maintain this momentum. Otherwise, I risk becoming the team’s main player unless I stick with my group.
