Strategies for conquering Doom Eternal’s Nightmare difficulty with minimal effort.
I wanted to share an update regarding my progress. I recently dedicated myself to playing Final Sin over the past few days, following a period of personal obligations. Things are progressing satisfactorily at this point; I’m currently engaged in the initial phase of the Icon of Sin boss battle, around 22:40. Based on my target of averaging under 30 minutes per mission, and knowing that anything below 44 minutes will meet this goal, I anticipate completing the task. Furthermore, I possess an impressive 13 additional lives and haven’t lost any during this specific mission. It’s remarkably beneficial not to expend BFG ammunition on the Khan Maykr, as a plentiful supply of BFG ammo significantly improves my performance in the larger encounters within Final Sin. I anticipate completing and uploading my playthrough within a few days.
The guide now ends with the final mission completed in 32 minutes and 24 seconds, successfully achieving my objective of under 30 minutes per mission – a time of just over 29 minutes.
Final Sin
I momentarily misplaced the second Marauder, but successfully vanquished him without needing an additional life. I also preserved all my remaining lives and finished with a total of 13. A significant factor in making this mission manageable was avoiding unnecessary expenditure of BFG ammunition on the Khan Maykr, and bringing a fully stocked BFG to the mission. Furthermore, utilizing only four BFG shots during the initial phase of the boss fight allowed me to conserve those same four for the second phase. I unfortunately miscalculated a jump from a platform, resulting in a fall that cost me 5 armor and 25 health. I felt somewhat awkward during the latter part of the second phase of the battle, however, I was able to conclude with 200 health and 30 armor by employing the Supercharge to approach the boss closely. I'm satisfied that I significantly reduced my previous times for this encounter, achieving just over 7 minutes of combat.
Thank you for your attention and feedback. This experience was challenging at times, but careful planning and strategic thinking proved valuable in overcoming the difficulties – though perhaps a bit slowly at times. I hope this offers encouragement to anyone facing similar obstacles, recognizing that success relies as much on strategy and tactics as it does on reflexes and agility.
