Your Ethernet links appear to be experiencing instability under certain conditions. The speeds drop significantly after a short period, especially during file transfers. It seems the connection quality may vary depending on network load or interference. Trying different settings or checking for firmware updates might help. Also, ensure your ISP modem/router is functioning properly and consider resetting it if needed.

Check the connections by rearranging the Ethernet cables to determine if the speed problems are related to the PCs or laptops themselves, not the cables. I’ll also perform this test for you. You can access the speed test here: https://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest. For download testing, try: https://www.thinkbroadband.com/download. The main results usually show the average speed, which reflects real-world performance better than peak values. Note that latency might affect results if you're not in the UK, but we’re focusing on noticeable differences in start and end speeds. No need to provide a postcode or provider—just run the tests.
