I've tried Windows 10 with the newest release, paired with a GTX 1060 6 GB card. The latest drivers are currently the best, but Windows keeps loading bad updates that ruin my games. I navigated to Control Panel > Settings > Advanced > Hardware and chose "No" when asked to update drivers. I also used a tool called Wushowhide to hide or prevent updates. After two weeks of stable performance, it suddenly reinstalled these problematic drivers. What options do I have? If I simply ask Windows not to install drivers and use a Microsoft program to block them, is there anything else I can try? I recently used DDU to remove the bad drivers and reinstall the ones I prefer. I also modified registry entries to stop Windows from updating drivers for my hardware. When I restarted the PC, the Nvidia driver still appeared and said "waiting to install." Any suggestions?
