they've successfully updated my email and phone number, but I'm still unable to access my Steam account. I've already submitted a ticket with photos of my first transaction, the box, and the game codes inside. How long will it take for this issue to be resolved?

Here are a few ways to phrase it:

* A short time? A few days? Weeks? Not at all?
I haven't used a Steam account before, but I lost an Origin account and managed to recover it quickly—about 30 to 60 minutes of live chat with support.
If you can get your account back, be sure to turn on SteamGuard 2FA for extra protection. Also, think about changing passwords on other accounts, especially your email address.

Happened to my brother, they're usually quick about it if you give them the details. They typically need a proof of purchase from PayPal or your bank account. Or a code for one of the games on the account. It took them around three days to process our request.

Steam offers the least support among all game retailers. Fans adore Steam, yet Origin's support dwarfs Steam's from a distance. Expect weeks before any problems get fixed.

It certainly isn't without precedence. Yes, it's possible they might resolve the issue in 3 or 5 days. But there's also a not insignificant chance that the issue could take longer to resolve.
