Stock cooler for Ryzen 5 3600, handles 65°C when idle and reaches 75°C under load.
Hello everyone, I use a Ryzen 5 3600 with the built-in cooler on an Asus Prime X470 Pro. After updating to the latest chipset version (2.13.27.501), I noticed my system is running hotter than before. In Ryzen Master, idle temps are around 65°C and games hit over 75°C. I’ve checked the thermal paste, tightened the cooler as much as possible, and made sure the PC has enough cooling capacity. I tried adjusting the undervolt in BIOS using PBO by lowering the PPT to 70 (down from the stock 88), but it doesn’t seem to make a difference in Ryzen Master. A quick note: there are two PBO settings in BIOS—unsure if this is specific to Asus or not, and I don’t know which one works best. Some users report getting idle temps in the low 30s with the stock cooler, which is surprising. Any advice on further tweaks in BIOS or Ryzen Master? Thanks ahead!
