I submitted my order for a Ryzen 9-5900x through B&H when pre-orders opened. I'm facing a back order and haven't received any details about the expected wait time. Could you please clarify these points?

Secured a budget 3700x on AliExpress for November 11th. Expected delivery falls between late December and early January, meaning your 5900x should arrive before I even receive my Zen2 haha.

I'm just holding my breath for Zen 4. I don't want to upgrade my motherboard just yet. My B350 has been with me since the early days—got a Ryzen 3 1200 and switched to a 3600 in late December 2019.

I received my 5900X on Tuesday. I was positioned like the second person ahead of the preorder line at the southeast Memory Express in my area, so my wait wasn’t too long. Fortunately, it was available only at the store on launch day, so I didn’t have to face thousands of people vying for one. Spoiler: ALL THE THREADS!!

I understand the only locations with day one stock were Microcenter in Southern California and Memory Express in Vancouver, BC. That’s roughly 1000 miles south and 400 miles north, depending on the border. I didn’t usually get in at the opening.

I'm waiting for more stock to become available, but I am looking the at 5800X to replace my 1700X. I did get my 1700X working in X570 Aorus Master, just to be ready.

It's a bit of a surprise that the 1700x would work on an X570 board. Nice choice on waiting and getting the R5-3600 for the upgrade. It's good to see the 4,000mhz CL19 RAM running smoothly at 3,600Mhz with the CL15. I'm excited to see it hit 3,800 at 5900x once that's available.

On paper it doesn't work well. Others have said the BIOS memory is big enough to store a lot of microcode.
