I am giving my friend my MSI laptop, and am currently trying to erase everything of the SDD and HDD, the OS (Windows 10) is on the SSD. Every time I go through the process of the windows reset it literally removes nothing of of either drive all accounts are still there when the laptop resets. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Here's the things I have tried. Start menu logo > Setting > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset this PC (Get started) > Remove everything > Data erasure Also I tried restarting the PC and tapping F3 and doing it that way. Essentially this https://us.msi.com/faq/notebook-l-12331 Any help would be awesome I am going to try the Data drives option in Reset this PC, so from here on I will be on mobile so my already bad typing will just get worse. Thanks

Format the HDD. For the SSD, attempt reinstalling Windows; I faced an issue once and it resolved after reinstallation.

You can utilize tools like Hirens BootCD to set up the PC and then download Windows from a USB drive.

Visit the specified website and select the download option. Prepare a USB drive with at least 8GB capacity. Employ the provided utility to generate a bootable file on that device. Allow the process to finish. THIS ACTION WILL DELETE ALL INFORMATION ON THE USB STICK. Access the laptop’s BIOS or boot menu (search online for guidance). Navigate to the boot settings. Select the correct Windows version, accept the agreement terms, etc. When prompted for partition selection, remove all visible partitions. You should retain just two options: an unallocated space on drive 0 and another on drive 1. PROCEED WITH INSTALLATION. After entering Windows, create partitions as needed on your HDD. Continue following the on-screen steps for a successful setup.
