A quick reminder to check humble bundle and GOG—they’re running promotions too. I got Witcher 2 for free on GOG last year. Mostly the same titles each year. I was looking to buy CS:GO cheaply, but they didn’t even lower prices for pre-summer deals. People often overlook Steam/Valve’s ongoing costs and end up spending more than needed.

It seems you're reflecting on the gaming experience. Before it was easy to find something exciting, now it feels like shopping while you already have everything. And they did offer better achievement games during sales.

It's been quite a while since we've spent on GMG, and the price is around $36—roughly the best you'd expect for that game. It's still a solid deal even at full cost. I've only logged about 11 hours so far, but it's really good.
