Hey, you've been playing games nonstop with various graphics cards and nothing happened. Nvidia seems to offer their own drivers, which is a plus. For AMD, it's uncertain but possible. Intel graphics have always worked well with Linux. It looks like you might have faced some issues.

I’ve used several GPUs on Linux, including a GT 430 and an HD 7750. They perform well, sometimes even better than Windows versions in certain games. Both Nvidia and AMD offer official drivers for Linux. Other tested GPUs caused many issues with games. Intel works fine, but as graphics improve, it’s possible to run some titles properly. With the HD 4000, everything ran smoothly at low settings. The HD 3000, however, led to many players being unable to play, including myself. This shouldn’t happen—manufacturers should provide reliable drivers for all their products, not just a few.

I’ve stopped you immediately. I’ve tested many different GPUs on Linux, and there’s never been an issue. Particularly with NVIDIA. I’ve faced some AMD stability problems with certain cards, but the community drivers are fine and they run well. I haven’t heard any complaints like this before. Am I missing something? Also, the bigger share of the gaming market Linux gets brings more focus from AMD and NVIDIA.

Sure, just let me know if you need any help with that.

I hope they invest more attention as well. My experience shows that even with guidance from much better Linux users, I still faced issues—like poor performance in certain games, problems with others, or instability overall. It seems the problem depends on the GPU being used.

Make bug reports if it's bad. I'm serious it helps, as there is not a large enough user base in some cases to catch everything. The OEM AMD driver for my xfire 6970ms causes artifacts around windows frequently after sleep mode. Otherwise they work ok. Only bad example I have. So I use the community ones. Or just restart the driver. The community ones almost always work. Problems are common, and commonly resolved after being reported. Thing is there are not many people running 6970ms on linux, with OEM drivers at that.

It's awesome, it really is. Back when I was better at typing, I depended a lot on spell check, which made my spelling skills drop significantly.

I wasn't targeting you personally, but it bothers me when the same word is spelled incorrectly repeatedly in the same manner.
