It's a good idea. It should function with both KB/M and Xbox controllers, though the Steam Controller is typically preferred.

I’d suggest proceeding. As long as you link your device to the router through Ethernet, your gaming streaming should remain consistent. The device offers both wireless and a wired connection; you’ll be attaching the Link to the router or switch, not directly to the computer. Wireless streaming may introduce some delay, while a wired setup keeps latency low.
