I've begun setting up some of my games on my SSD, but there isn't enough space left. I'm trying to move them to my HDD, but it keeps showing write errors or asking for a writable folder. (Using Windows 8). If anyone can guide me through TeamViewer or Skype on this, it would be really helpful.

The system insists on write permissions, yet the instructions Steam provides don't resolve the issue.

Click the folder with the right-click menu, then select Properties. Verify that Read-Only is not selected.

It's not necessary to move your whole Steam directory and games to the hard drive. You can keep everything organized digitally.
