Hello, after the upgrade to an R9 390 I installed the necessary drivers and everything seemed fine. When I tried Tomb Raider it worked well, but later it wouldn’t open Steam or games like Alien Isolation or Hitman Absolution, only showing a black screen. I’m looking for solutions without reinstalling.

Try launching the nonsteam game and let me know if you want to customize the card.

Number of stock configurations and CPU details were checked. Attempted to launch Witcher 3 but performance was extremely slow—eventually gave up.

Because drivers are the only aspect that has shifted, consider going back to an earlier driver version or performing a fresh installation with updated drivers.

I resolved it. First, I removed the AMD Catalyst/Crimson Driver. Next, I checked my devices for the video driver and uninstalled it. Your display should appear very blurry, possibly requiring a restart. Visit the AMD website to download the updated Catalyst Driver. After installation, verify updates for Catalyst and install Crimson. Update your drivers and restart your PC. If your system boots using the monitor resolution, you’ve succeeded.
