I just installed a new GPU after my PSU failed, and I cleaned everything up except Steam.exe and SteamApps before reinstalling. When I launch it, it shows an update process for about a second, then tries to connect to my account, but the Steam info updates without showing anything or opening the window. I'm trying to figure out if this is related to my GPU.

I didn't delete anything. If you meant something else, let me know!

I thought removing just the executable and game files during the download might fix the issue

No, you don’t need to run steam every time you use it. You can operate it as needed without starting steam continuously.

I did that and then it functioned eventually. My Steam did the same, I'd launch it and nothing happened. I had to clear everything and reinstall it, but it didn't work again.
