You're exploring both new and classic titles. Whether the Skyrim Special Edition is worth it depends on your interests—modding it could be rewarding, but buying it might offer unique features. For current hot picks, look into popular PC components like high-performance GPUs, SSDs, and reliable RAM deals.

there aren't many modifications for Skyrim SE because it's still relatively new, and SKSE hasn't been released yet. Nevertheless, the number of mods for Skyrim SE is increasing, and several original Skyrim mods remain compatible with SE, just needing some adjustments. Still, this isn't a certainty.

I really felt let down by Skyrim SE, but my customized version looks much better. I think it’ll be worth it again when more mods are added. Still, since I got it for free, I’m less upset now. If you haven’t played Skyrim before, it’s definitely worth checking out.

I tried the console and really enjoyed it. I’m thinking about getting vanilla at a lower price and customizing it ($9.00) or purchasing it with DLC ($30.00), or maybe choosing SE. What are your thoughts?

I personally recommend getting the original Skyrim and then updating it yourself. SE is only worthwhile if you got it for free, which you can't anymore, so it's essentially the same game with a newer engine—64-bit versions are better for mods. The original version still holds value even without DLC, and you can really customize it. Just go all out with the modding!
