I’m experiencing a slow internet connection and the files on my PC disappeared. I tried downloading at night and in the morning, but it kept missing. When I paused and resumed later, the progress was inconsistent—starting from 150kb repeatedly. It’s really frustrating. Please help me resolve this.

Steam shouldn't remove files when paused; you risk losing any partially downloaded items. It might be that Steam isn't checking the installation directory properly. I haven't encountered this problem before, so someone else's input would be helpful. It seems quite unusual.

Turning off the download progress restores it to zero, but this doesn't indicate a fresh start from scratch. Steam doesn’t remember previous downloads, so it only fetches files from earlier stages. With such a slow speed, you probably won<|pad|> or not enjoy online games like PUGBR.

It shows "downloaded 150 kb / 13 GB". The 13 GB is the full size of the game, indicating it starts from the beginning.
