It seems everyone shared similar concerns about the big picture and the frustration of launching accidentally. I’ve begun using it seriously now. I enjoy console play because of the joystick, but I don’t want to sacrifice quality. By linking my Xbox controller to my PC and opening Steam, it feels like a true console experience with one major twist—stunning visuals! What do you think about Steam’s big picture and joystick gaming? Do you prefer using a keyboard and mouse or enjoy just relaxing in front of a large screen? I’ve lost interest in gaming lately but feel motivated again when I get the controller. Share your thoughts below.

FPS m+k is great, and I’m happy to switch to a controller if needed.

I rely on a mouse and keyboard for most games, except for third-person and racing titles, where I switch to a controller. In Big Picture it works well! Using a mouse feels a bit awkward.

I own an Xbox 360, PS3, and Xbox One (soon replacing with PS4). I've never connected a controller to my PC, but you're right—it felt like a console when I first used it. Personally, I don't rely on it. I designed my setup to deliver something different from what consoles offer. It's a nice touch for those seeking that authentic feel.

It's not just a simple interface like connecting your PC to a TV. Steam Big Picture Mode offers a similar setup for when you link your computer to a gaming console. For gaming, it mainly focuses on mouse and keyboard controls, which I find more comfortable than dual analog sticks. However, I'm not a strong gamer, and being frustrated often makes me want to play online rather than in person. Last weekend I almost broke a rental copy of NHL 15 because I got upset repeatedly when my son beat me. When we played on different PCs last time, it was enjoyable, but with dual analog controllers it felt more challenging. I prefer console gaming because it lets me play games I enjoy and compete with my son, which is important to me.

People prefer the overall view because it feels simpler. Too many choices can overwhelm them.

I prefer a wide-angle view. Sometimes I need to step away, but it's my standard setting.

It resembles a PS4/Xbox One setup but with improved features and a sleek design. You can even launch it directly. Your emulator games can also be added. I set this up for my brother-in-law who had no prior experience with computers, as he came from a long Xbox/Wii background. Essentially, if you wish, a PC is the ultimate gaming platform.
