The issue might be related to the report itself. I checked for malware using bytes and Norton, but no threats were found. It seems this file is safe so far.

I might receive them from various sources, as you understand I could or might not pirate. It seems to be a decent file, and I haven't found any viruses yet. Regular scans with malware detection and Norton have shown nothing suspicious until this particular file caught Nortons notice.

Steam_api.dll is one of the files that gets cracked to allow you to run the game and bypass Steam's DRM. Your copy of the game is a pirated version. No mistake. Now, this could be a false positive or it could be a virus. I don't know. If you want to 100% safe, then buy a legit copy of the game through Steam or G2A if you want it cheaper.
