Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if Steam has ever been compromised. My brother lost some of his games because of it. I’m getting concerned about my AAC.

When individuals claim they were "hacked," it often indicates they shared their credentials with someone. A skilled hacker targeting another person’s Steam account wouldn’t care about unrelated accounts.

Eh, the steam I’m aware of has never been compromised. Maybe your brother removed the games, or they were just demos.

STEAM has always remained intact, and any breaches in personal accounts are entirely the user's responsibility. This usually happens through reckless actions that compromise security or falling victim to deceptive phishing attempts.

Steam was probably safe from hackers. Maybe someone shared their password with a friend. I’m not sure.

You cannot lose games purchased on Steam. They remain on your device permanently, and the title stays listed even if you haven't played or installed it before.

They may be removed for non-payment or because of a scam issue. In such cases, you'll receive notifications via email and a message in STEAM informing you about the game's removal by Valve.
