I recently accessed an old email account after successfully remembering the password. It was linked to a Steam account from 2010, and I need to log in but Steam requires the original CD key that came with it. I was under the influence for some time and lost everything years ago—I’m wondering if there’s any way to retrieve it.
P.S. I’ve been clean for more than five years now and just need a bit of assistance.

Unfortunately, they must confirm the account belongs to you. This becomes more difficult if it hasn't been accessed recently. Before two-factor authentication, Steam Guard and similar methods were the primary means of restoring access.
