I am encountering difficulties creating a Steam account. I have attempted three distinct email addresses and thoroughly checked all spam folders without receiving confirmation emails. Upon entering my email, completing the CAPTCHA, agreeing to the terms and conditions, and submitting, the page redirects me back to the initial screen with a request to re-enter the CAPTCHA, repeating this process continuously. I would appreciate any suggestions.
I have tested it on both systems with identical results. My hardware consists of an ASUS i7 laptop with 16GB RAM and a 100Mbps connection, running Firefox alongside a VPN and two software firewalls. I am uncertain whether these factors are pertinent to the problem.
Steam should not typically take longer than one to two hours.
