I don't have certainty about which VR firm you believe in, but I’ll share what I know. VR with controllers isn’t truly VR—it’s more of a gimmick. The real VR is the kind you can steer with your mind! If those companies drop this around 2020, it would be significant, but it’s still a long way off. Check out MindMaze’s article for more details. For those interested in SAO, it’s on the horizon, though not yet here yet.

We already possess very basic mind control tools, and by 2020 we might have more practical applications, though I don't think controlling a game would come that quickly.

It's not what I expected to be real. Using an Xbox controller or a PC mouse for SAO would be super awkward! What I just saw seemed like a joke.
