Status of Hiren's Boot Disk under current law.
Long ago, Hiren's Boot CD (HBCD) was banned on certain forums that aim to prevent illegal software. This restriction existed because it contained many pirated programs. I think the creators said they had eliminated all such utilities in later versions. Is it still allowed to talk about or suggest it here?
it should be fine, the win package doesn't have a license and bundled utilities are either freeware or shareware
Thank you for the reply. I noticed some individuals who could use HBCD solutions often share content about it.
Really? I thought that MS not letting people share their operating system would be a warning sign, just like with all other software. Even the free applications require you to visit each webpage and download your own version. Of course, there are exceptions where the agreement says you can redistribute it.
Yes, it is acceptable.
