Yes, it will affect your gaming performance. Zen+ has notable drawbacks compared to Zen 2, though upgrades can help. Consider used 3000 series parts instead of a new 2000 if budget allows. Be aware you may need a BIOS update for your board to support the processor. For better results, aim for at least 3200 cl16 RAM or 3600 cl18 if choosing the 3000 series.
