So most of the computers I've had in the past were laptops that I just kind of bought. Now I'm looking to build a PC and I'm using most of the components from the $800 value build that Linus did. I decided to change the case to the NZXT H1 that was featured in the Xbox Series X rip off video but now I'm not sure what to use for the Motherboard, I don't feel I know enough to make an informed decision. I can't use the motherboard from the Xbox series X video because it's an Intel board. This is my current list of components, I've also put the links for them and I appreciate any advice you've got for me. It's frustrating we've been waiting over six months since the 3rd generation Ryzen launched, yet most X570 MITX boards are still scarce. PCPartpicker lists one here: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/NQ7p99/...s-pro-wifi. Likely, a B450 or X470 MITX would be more budget-friendly and available right away. We should look into that option.
I checked Newegg for details on this mini ITX board and saw it mentions compatibility with Ryzen 3000 CPUs. I recommend verifying that information by looking up the product online to confirm its support before purchasing.

If nothing else could look into bios flashing, I believe some motherboards will let you flash the bios with a marked usb slot on the motherboard.
Depends on how much you care about the looks and what you're targeting with this build. If gaming is what you aim for, and completely ignoring asthetics here. I would drop that case and change it to something still good looking but more affordable so you can direct that money you saved on the case to other parts that actually make a difference. (personal take here, up to you really) Here's one option instead of the "xbox cube" https://www.newegg.com/black-fractal-des...6811352084 Again, this is focusing solely on bang for your buck, thermal performance-wise and future upgrade-ability if you choose to do so. Also gives you more room to work and this is your first build I'm assuming so its better to pick a case thats easy to work on (in my opinion). I'd change that ram to the cheapest "reputable brand" set of 16GB lower latency ones you can find. They arent as expensive as they used to be nowadays. Please note that while RAM latency isn't critical for gaming, A 3000 Mhz CL15 set or a 3200Mhz CL16 set is actually better than a 3600Mhz CL19 (the one you chose). Here you can calculate "true" RAM latency. For the motherboard, any X570 board should cover your needs just fine... Even X470 if gaming is solely what you're after. The stock cooler should be fine and its super easy to install. I would worry about overclocking when necessary if you feel like you need the extra performance later down the road.
It seems he’s probably aiming for the look of the new Xbox case. Considering the expense of a reliable PSU and CPU cooler, the overall cost remains reasonable, particularly because the cooler enables effective overclocking with an AMD processor. However, I didn’t focus on memory when choosing it. Applying these filters on PCP would provide more affordable memory choices for 16GB.
I felt the same energy too, but I just couldn't resist... because it's his first build, he'll end up with a smaller form factor case and PSU. It looks nice and compact, but I wouldn't choose it for a first desktop if I cared about overall appearance, performance, or value for money. There are plenty of more affordable and adaptable choices that give you more breathing room later on—especially if he decides to build it himself. I'm sure NZXT did a solid job with the instructions, but working with a tight, boxy design can be tricky compared to a standard ATX setup. What do you think?
